When you click the button on a LinkedIn post, the extension reads that post's visible text and sends it to the AI provider you selected in Settings, to generate an explanation and optional fact-check. That is the only data that leaves your browser, and only when you click.
Your provider choice, optional model, and API key(s) are stored in your browser's
local extension storage (storage.local) on your device only. There is
no backend server. Nothing is sent to the developer.
The post text and your API key are sent directly to the provider you choose (Gemini, OpenRouter, Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Pollinations) to generate the result. Their handling of that request is governed by their own terms and privacy policy. Nothing is sent until you click the button.
No analytics, tracking, or telemetry. The extension is read-only: it does not post, comment, like, message, or modify anything on LinkedIn, and it does not read your profile, connections, or messages.
Remove your key any time in Settings, or uninstall the extension to clear all stored data. Turn the feature off from the toolbar popup.
